(Variety) A “Harry Potter” series is in very early development at HBO Max, Variety has learned from sources.
Rumors that a show set within the wizarding world have persisted for some time. Now it seems those plans are moving ahead, though no writers or talent are currently attached to the project. There is no word yet on what the focus of the show would be or what part of the “Harry Potter” timeline it would focus on should it move ahead.

(CNET) Matt Damon has joined the upcoming blockbuster’s cast, having touched down in Sydney, Australia, where he’ll quarantine for two weeks before filming begins.
Now that Matt Damon has been cast who will he be playing? Definitely not Loki.
Captain America returning to MCU
Deadline is reporting that Chris Evans is close to signing a new deal that would bring Captain America back to the MCU.
(DEADLINE) In a move that is sure to rock the Marvel Cinematic Universe, sources tell Deadline that Chris Evans is cleaning the dust off his Captain America attire as he expected reprise the role in the MCU in some form. Still vague if deal as completely closed but insiders say its headed in that direction for Evans to return as Steve Rogers aka Captain America in at least one Marvel property with the door open for a second film. Sources add it’s unlikely to be a new Captain America installment and more likely to be like what Robert Downey Jr. did after Iron Man 3, appearing in films like Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
This new WANDAVISION trailer is so trippy
After taking most of 2020 off due to the pandemic the Marvel Cinematic Universe is revving to take flight once more, first with a brand new event series starring Avengers stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as Scarlet Witch and Vision in “WandaVision”
Details are very minimum about the actual premise of the series, but rumors suggest that “WandaVision” will begin a three-part MCU event that also involves Sony’s Spiderman Universe and Doctor Strange.
“WandaVision” will begin streaming on Disney+ on January 15th.

Report: Netflix’s “The Witcher” star, Henry Cavill injured
The Sun is reporting Henry Cavil suffered a ‘minor’ leg injury while filming an action scene for Netflix’s popular “The Witcher” series. According to the article the actor will be out briefly. Production will resume by filming scenes that don’t involve the actor.
Hayden Christensen returns to “Star Wars” franchise
As part of the Disney’s four hour investor presentation in December it was announced that the Anakin Skywalker actor from the Prequel Trilogy will resume playing the role of Darth Vader in the upcoming event series, “Obiwan”.
Hayden Christensen is set to return with Obiwan portrayer Ewan McGregor when filming resumes in Spring 2021.
Disney announces “The Mandalorian” spinoff that will make Ahsoka Tano fans happy
During Disney’s four hour investor presentation in December Lucas Films announced a spin-off of their popular streaming series, “The Mandalorian”. The new series will follow Rosario Dawson’s former Jedi Ahsoka Tano.
Per the very little information released the series will take place “during the time of The Mandalorian.”
